His impressive career iclude roles at notable institutions such as the South African Revenue Services, the Department of Labour, the City of Cape Town, and the CCMA, as well as extensive work within the private sector.

Firgil has played a pivotal role in training various stakeholders, including municipalities, advocacy groups, trade unions and private corporations, on employment matters. 

He has frequently been invited as a guest speaker to address stakeholders on pressing issues related to Labour market trends. Firgil further holds a zero percent rating of adverse findings against him as an arbitrator at the Labour Court on decided matters, reflecting his commitment, expertise, integrity and fairness in the field of Labour Law.
